A missing Oklahoma college student was found dead after a week-long search this week, and an 18-year-old has been arrested.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said that Logan Nathaniel Musil, 18, had been reported missing to South Western Oklahoma State University police on September 30. The campus police requested help from OSBI on October 5.

Three days later, OSBI coordinated an extensive search near Veteran’s Lake in Sulphur and found Musil’s body.

In the course of the investigation, agents had learned Musil had been in an altercation with another teen just before his death and arrested 18-year-old Cameron Lewis.

According to KOCO, Lewis is also a student at SWOSU.

Lewis is being held in the Custer County Jail while the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma determines official charges.

OSBI said that Lewis is a tribal citizen, which is why the US Attorney is handling the charges, KFOR said.
