A woman from Missouri is facing charges of murder and child endangerment after being caught on video firing deadly shots at another woman in a separate room, where a child was also present.
The St. Louis County Police Department reported they responded late Wednesday afternoon to a shooting incident in the northern part of the county. Upon arrival, they found 25-year-old Bryola Carter suffering from life-threatening injuries, as detailed by a report from KSDK. She was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Detectives uncovered surveillance footage capturing 27-year-old Giveyon Carter entering a bathroom in the residence and firing shots through a door at Bryola Carter and the child. According to court records, Bryola Carter sustained injuries to her arm and torso.
As reported by KTVI, the two women involved were sisters. The relationship of the child to the sisters has not been disclosed by either news outlet.
On Friday, Giveyon Carter was officially charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and child endangerment. Her bond has been set at $500,000.
