Just days ago, Tiffanie Lucas, 32, posted photos of herself and her two sons in their Halloween costumes. Now she’s in jail on $2 million bond, accused of killing her own children.

According to the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky, the injuries the children had were not survivable. The victims were just 6 and 9 years old.

Deputies say a neighbor found Lucas in the driveway of their home in the Shepherdsville area around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The neighbor went into the home to check on the children and found them both “covered in blood” and suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders rushed the boys to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, but they did not survive.

Lucas was arrested on two murder charges. She appeared in court virtually for the first time on Thursday, where the judge entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf and set her bond.
