News footage of Laneasha Walker in court on March 28 (WLWT).
Laneasha Walker, aged 24, is currently detained at the Hamilton County Justice Center, facing three charges of child endangerment. As per court records accessed by WKRC, a CBS affiliate, Walker took her son, whose age remains undisclosed, to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. There, medical personnel discovered that he suffered from second-degree burns covering 10% of his body. Authorities reported that Walker could not provide a reason for the injuries.
Details from the court documents suggest that the most recent incident occurred on December 12, 2025. WLWT, an NBC affiliate, reported that Walker’s other three children informed police they allegedly witnessed their mother pouring hot water on their brother. Witnesses also indicated that Walker attempted to conceal the injuries using long socks and diapers.
Authorities noted that Walker initially resisted seeking medical help for her son and allegedly misled others about consulting a doctor for his burns. Medical evaluations at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital revealed both recent and previous burn injuries on the child, as documented in court papers.
Police said Walker initially refused to get medical treatment for her son. She also allegedly lied about taking her son to a doctor for his burns. According to court documents, medical staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital found evidence of old and new burn injuries to the boy.
WLWT reported that all four of Walker’s children were placed in the custody of family members after she was arrested on Friday. Walker was arraigned on Saturday, when her bond was set at $75,000, or $25,000 for each count of child endangerment. She remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on April 7.
Walker was ordered not to have any contact with her son if she posts her bond and is released.
