In a disturbing incident this week in Arizona, law enforcement officials apprehended a 25-year-old man on allegations of child abuse after he was caught on camera assaulting a toddler. The man, identified as Ora Ray Carson II, faces charges of child abuse and aggravated assault.
The Bullhead City Police Department detailed the events leading to Carson’s arrest. His girlfriend, who had been in a relationship with him for approximately two months, became alarmed by the frequent bruises, scratches, and injuries her two-year-old daughter sustained after spending time with Carson. To gather evidence, she discreetly set up her cell phone to record while she left the room.
The footage captured by the hidden camera was alarming, showing Carson repeatedly striking the young girl on the head. When officers arrived at the scene, they observed bruises and other injuries on the child, which were consistent with physical abuse.
The toddler was promptly taken to a local medical facility for initial care and was subsequently transferred to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas for further evaluation and treatment. This distressing case underscores the importance of vigilance and the swift action of those who suspect abuse.
