In a distressing case out of Arizona, a mother’s intuition about her boyfriend’s behavior was confirmed when she captured footage of him allegedly abusing her young daughter. The Bullhead City Police Department reported that 25-year-old Ora Carson II is now facing charges of child abuse and aggravated assault, both categorized under domestic violence. He has been detained at the Mohave County Jail in Kingman, located close to the Nevada border.

The mother, who had been dating Carson for approximately two months, became worried after noticing that her 2-year-old daughter often appeared with bruises, scratches, and other injuries following time spent with Carson.

On Monday morning, she set up her cell phone camera before leaving the room to gather evidence. Upon reviewing the footage, she discovered Carson allegedly hitting her daughter multiple times on the head. She immediately contacted the police to report the physical assault on her child.

When officers arrived to investigate, they found the child with several bruises and injuries that were consistent with abuse. The mother provided them with the recording, which supported her claims and led to Carson’s arrest.

Officers checked on the girl and reportedly “observed multiple bruises and other injuries on the child consistent with physical abuse.” The mother also provided police with the video footage.

Police went to Carson’s home on the 1800 block of Monterey Circle in Bullhead City, Arizona, and took him into custody.

The child was brought to a local hospital before being transferred to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to the police department, “for precautionary measures and further medical evaluation.” Police noted that, as of Tuesday, the investigation was ongoing.

Bullhead City is located on the very western edge of Arizona, bordering Nevada and also less than an hour’s drive from California.
