A convicted triple murderer in Oklahoma was sent to prison for the rest of his life after committing a gruesome crime in 2021. Now, the daughter of one of his victims says he’s “bragging” about his despicable deeds from behind bars.
Lawrence Paul Anderson, 46, is serving a life sentence in Oklahoma’s Dick Conner Correctional Center after he pleaded guilty to the horrific 2021 murders of Andrea Blankenship, 41, and his own uncle Leon Pye, 67, and niece Kaeos Yates, 4. He also attacked his aunt, 66-year-old Delsie Pye, and gouged out one of her eyes.
Anderson admitted to cutting out Blankenship’s heart after forcing his way into her home. He then cooked the heart “with potatoes” with the intent to “feed [it] to his family to release the demons.”
Years after Anderson was put away for good, Blankenship’s daughter this week told KWTV, a local CBS affiliate, that the demented killer is “on Facebook smiling and laughing and having a party.”
KWTV reported that Haylee Blankenship, whose age was not provided, said that Anderson was seen in photos and videos posted to Facebook on an account belonging to a user called “Tony Hayes.” Anderson can be seen in one video with a birthday cake, seemingly having a celebration with some other inmates.
Haylee Blankenship told KWTV, “Could you imagine being a victim of your mom getting dismembered and murdered? And then her murderer is literally on Facebook smiling and laughing and having a party?”
But she suspected that Anderson may also be behind messages sent from the account to other members of her family that she believes are threats. One message Haylee Blankenship shared with KWTV read, “the heart eater and I want to deliver a message to your boyfriend” and “I can get my lil folks to gut him like a [redacted] hog.”
Haylee Blankenship believed the “heart eater” mention was a direct reference to her mother’s murder. She told KWTV, “He’s bragging about being a heart eater and obviously makes me feel terrible and retraumatized and miserable.”
She also pointed out that inmates are not allowed to have phones, let alone social media accounts while incarcerated. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections confirmed the policy to KWTV, saying in a statement, “ODOC does not tolerate criminal behavior within our facilities. Our inmates are not allowed to use cell phones and social media. We take swift action and hold them accountable for their actions when we learn of such behavior.”
Anderson is serving five life sentences with the possibility of parole.
