Police continue to seek tips in connection with a missing Louisiana woman who hasn’t been seen since 2018.
Nahendra Faye Davis, 35, of Baker, was last seen on December 27, 2018, at around 4:45 p.m., at her mother’s home in the Glen Oaks area of Baton Rouge. Her family said she dropped her two children off at her mother’s residence, then left in a 2015 white Charger.
A few days later, police found Davis’ vehicle abandoned “near 72nd Avenue in the 6900 block of Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge,” NewsBreak reports. Her purse and other belongings were found inside the vehicle but there were no signs of Davis.
“We’ve gotten tips that she’s been seen in other locations where other agencies have went out and made contact with the person they were describing, and it wound up being somebody totally different,” said Captain Kelvin Miller of the Baker Police Department said in 2019.
Meanwhile, Davis’ mother described her daughter’s disappearance as a “nightmare” and is hoping for answers that will bring her home.
“It’s like a nightmare and it just feels like I’m just going to wake up and it’s all just going to be a dream,” Nahendra’s mother Merenda Knox, previously told WAFB. “Without God, I couldn’t do nothing. He has worked with me from the inside out and without his help, I just can’t do it. He’s holding me up and giving me the strength that I need.”

Davis is described as a Black female who stands between 5-feet-3 to 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighed around 150 pounds when she disappeared.
