OnlyFans Model Accused of Killing Boyfriend in Luxury Condo Had Bruises ‘Spread throughout’ Her Body: Lawyers – Crime Online

Attorneys for OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, who’s accused of killing her boyfriend, say that she had bruises all over her body after physical abuse at the hands of the man she killed.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Clenney, 26, was arrested earlier this year in August, after police found her in Hawaii. She was brought back to Miami to stand trial for the death of 27-year-old Christian Obumseli, who died in April at the couple’s Miami high-rise condominium.

Clenney, who is known as Courtney Tailor online, has claimed self-defense in the case. Photos released by the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office this week appeared to show numerous bruises “spread throughout Clenney’s body,” Law & Crime reports.

The photos were taken by Clenney’s mother and one of the defendant’s defense lawyers alleges the photos were “consistent with a struggle for her life.” Prosecutors, however, argued that the crime scene was inconsistent with self-defense.

Both the prosecution and Clenney’s defense team have claimed the parties were victims of abuse, with the state alleging Clenney abused the victim and the defense claiming the victim abused Clenney.

“The police observed no visible injuries which would have corroborated her account,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said during a previous press conference. “And she had no injuries.”

The defense attorneys argued that evidence of self-defense would be presented at Clenney’s trial.

Clenney reportedly claimed she stabbed Obumseli in self-defense after he began choking her, as CrimeOnline reported. Investigators initially accepted that story, but after a four-month investigation, prosecutors charged Clenney with second-degree murder.

Clenney was allegedly threatening to kill herself when police found Obumseli’s body. She was subsequently hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows authorities to send someone with violent or suicidal tendencies to a mental health treatment center for up to 72 hours.

What prompted the alleged spat is not known publicly, but the couple is said to have fought often in their two-year relationship. In July 2020, police arrested Clenney in Las Vegas on a charge of battery after she allegedly threw a glass at Obumseli.

In August, Clenney’s lawyer, Frank Prieto, wrote that the state’s decision to show the elevator video was “an attempt by the government to prejudice and taint potential jury members against the defendant” and prevent her from receiving a fair trial, according to Fox News.
