A Missouri couple is facing serious allegations after reportedly neglecting their son’s severe infection for more than a year, during which time his painful sores grew significantly in size.

William Robinson, 41, and Keisha Morgan, 35, were taken into custody and charged with child endangerment. According to documents reviewed by Law&Crime, the couple was allegedly aware of their son’s worsening condition but failed to seek medical help. Authorities noted that the sores caused the child “severe pain” and made it difficult for him to sit.

The case first caught the attention of law enforcement on October 16, 2025, when detectives from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to a possible abuse situation involving a young patient at the Golden Valley Clinic in Osceola. Court documents revealed that Robinson had taken his son to the clinic following the school’s concerns about “large sores” on the boy’s buttocks, which were described as “the approximate size of a baseball.” Robinson reportedly suggested the injuries were the result of a fight with his brother.

At the clinic, medical personnel requested a urine sample from the boy, which he provided. However, Robinson allegedly disposed of the sample, later admitting to authorities that he feared the results might lead to Morgan losing custody of her children. He expressed concern that the sample might reveal the presence of alcohol, marijuana, or even semen belonging to the boy’s brother.

In Morgan’s case, the probable cause statement indicates that the boy informed her about alleged sexual abuse by his brother. Following his transfer to Children’s Mercy Hospital, the boy was diagnosed with a MRSA infection. Medical professionals noted that the sores were in varying stages of healing, indicating the infection had been present for about a year.

When police questioned Morgan, she admitted that she knew about the sores for about the same amount of time. After she was read her rights, she admitted that she did not take her son to get medical attention even after noticing the sores. She told police that she treated the sores with medication, but did not say which medication she used.

According to a letter provided to police by the Golden Valley Clinic, MRSA infections that are left untreated can cause “[p]ersistent or worsening skin infection, spread to surrounding tissues, abscess formation, bone infection, bloodstream infection, spread to internal organs, negative impact on growth and development.”

The boy and the rest of the children who were in the custody of Robinson and Morgan were removed from the home and placed with the state.

Robinson and Morgan are both in custody at the St. Clair County Jail. Morgan was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and abuse or neglect of a child; Robinson was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with evidence. Morgan was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
