Patrick Clancy is opening up about the enduring bond he feels with the three children he shared with Lindsay Clancy.
“I talk to them,” Patrick told 60 Minutes in a preview clip of his highly anticipated Sept. 20 interview, his first since the murder case ended in a mistrial.
During an interview with correspondent Ross Douthat, Patrick was asked what he says to Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. “Help me,” he replied. “All the time.”
Patrick is set to appear alongside his wife, Rachel Danis, whom he married in April. More than three years ago, Lindsay strangled their children at the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home before jumping from a second-story window.
Lindsay’s defense attorneys maintained that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors argued that she was criminally responsible for the children’s deaths.
A judge declared a mistrial on Sept. 4 after jurors deadlocked 11-1 in favor of finding Lindsay not guilty by reason of insanity.
Patrick and Rachel have sought to maintain a private life in New York City, despite his testimony about Lindsay’s mental health challenges and the moment he found his children in the basement.

Danis, a fertility doctor, did not take part in the trial. The upcoming CBS interview will mark her first public comments on the case.
In the Sept. 17 preview posted to X, Danis greets the interviewer while Patrick takes a seat alongside her.
According to CBS, Patrick will address “his grief, his memories of his children, and the baseless conspiracy theories that flooded social media since his ex-wife’s murder trial.”
Earlier this month, Patrick’s attorney warned of possible legal action against “minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists” accused of spreading online rumors about him.
“Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign,” attorney Howard Cooper told CBS in a statement. Cooper condemned “outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims.”
“Enough is enough,” he added. “This spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop. Those responsible should understand that there will be consequences, and every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally. Law enforcement has been notified.”
