Broadcast footage shows Jakob Korber being taken into custody by police (WTAE).
A Pennsylvania man has been ordered held without bail after authorities said he admitted to fatally beating his mother.
Jakob Korber, 29, is facing a criminal homicide charge following the death of his mother, Christin Hamilton, who was discovered Sunday on the front porch of her home in Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania. The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release that surveillance footage recorded the alleged attack, which authorities say started as a verbal dispute between Korber and Hamilton before turning deadly.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Steve Limani told Pittsburgh CBS affiliate KDKA that Hamilton had been wearing a towel and drinking morning coffee while letting her dog outside shortly before her son allegedly assaulted her.

WTAE, the local ABC affiliate, reported that Hamilton’s daughter spoke with investigators after officers arrived and told them Korber had recently threatened both her and her mother.
Korber is being held without bail at the Westmoreland County Prison. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 14.
