GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a disturbing turn of events, 32-year-old Nathail Eugene Harrington Jr. from Hawthorne found himself under arrest following accusations of stalking and making death threats against a former girlfriend and her children, according to police reports.
Allegations surfaced when the woman, whose name has not been disclosed, contacted the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department. She described receiving a barrage of calls and texts from Harrington on August 10, despite their recent breakup. The messages, charged with disturbing emotions, allegedly suggested he was unwilling to let go. Alarmingly, he threatened to murder her, her children, and himself if she maintained the breakup. Even more chilling, he purportedly threatened to broadcast these acts live on Facebook.
The woman, sensing the gravity of the threat, began to record their calls. From these recordings, a deputy noted Harrington’s voice saying ominously, “If I can’t have you, I don’t want nobody, and you ain’t gonna have nobody. Imma do it, bruh, then imma do it to myself,” reinforcing the seriousness of his threats.
Given their intimate history, Harrington knew where she lived and her daily routine. On the early morning of August 11, at roughly 3:15 a.m., the victim noticed Harrington lurking near her apartment. Disturbed by his presence on the sidewalk, she immediately called law enforcement, but he vanished from sight before deputies could arrive.
The victim told a deputy that she received over 200 missed phone calls from Harrington over 12 hours, and at one point, he threatened to “stay watching your house.” Referring to his threats to harm the victim, he allegedly wrote, “I have to do it.” The victim believed that Harrington had both the will and capability to kill her and her children.
Harrington, a designated violent felony offender of special concern, has been charged with aggravated stalking. He has 11 felony convictions (three violent) and nine misdemeanor convictions (non-violent), and he has served six state prison sentences, with his most recent release in April 2026. He was arrested in March 2025 for backing a stolen car into a patrol vehicle and then fleeing from deputies and is still on drug offender probation in that case after serving a 15-month prison sentence.
Judge Susan Miller-Jones ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.
