Kelly Siegler is stepping back into the spotlight.
The seasoned prosecutor returns to Oxygen for a new season of the true-crime series Prosecuting Evil with Kelly Siegler.
Season 3 premieres Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and brings viewers inside some of America’s most gripping murder cases and unforgettable courtroom battles. This time, Siegler revisits chilling investigations that include an alleged serial killer who seemed beyond reach and a woman who said she acted in self-defense after fatally striking her boyfriend with the heel of a stiletto.
According to a press release, the new episodes feature both cases Siegler personally prosecuted and major trials that left a lasting impression on her throughout her legal career. Each installment examines a different legal angle, showing why the case mattered and how it influenced criminal law, courtroom strategy, investigative methods and the broader justice system.
Across the season, Siegler unpacks the arguments, tactics and turning points that shaped each trial, offering insight into how prosecutors worked to secure justice for victims and their families.
“These crimes have changed lives, changed laws, and even changed me,” Siegler remarked in a trailer for the new season. “This is not just a job. You carry the victims and their loved ones with you every step of the way. But one thing I can tell you: justice never comes without a fight.”
Formerly the Chief of the Special Crimes Bureau for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Siegler—who also leads Oxygen’s Cold Justice—has tried around 200 cases during her career, including 68 murder cases and 20 capital murder cases, giving her a unique perspective into the mind of a murderer.
“To prosecute murder cases,” she added in the promo, “you’ve got to be ready for anything.”
The season will kick off with a two-hour premiere that delves into the infamous Texas Seven, a name given to a group of prisoners who pulled off the largest prison break in the state’s history.

“Seven inmates escape from a high-security Texas prison and launch a violent crime spree,” reads an episode description,“culminating in the brutal ambush and killing of Irving police officer Aubrey Hawkins on Christmas Eve.”
