A Wisconsin teenager is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of another teenager.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office identified Robbiel Stokes, 15, after charging him with first-degree intentional homicide. According to a criminal complaint reviewed by Law&Crime, police responded to a shooting in Milwaukee shortly before 5 p.m. on Sept. 19. Officers found 16-year-old Camron Bowen in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
Prosecutors said surveillance footage showed Camron standing behind Stokes on a county bus minutes before the shooting. The criminal complaint states that the two teenagers had a “heated” exchange before getting off the bus.
The principal of the school attended by both teens told investigators that Camron and Stokes had been involved in a fight three days before the shooting.
A warrant for Stokes’ arrest was issued Friday, but he remains at large. Speaking with local NBC affiliate WTMJ, Camron’s mother, Jennifer Cassidy, said, “I’m happy that I know who it is. I’m happy that I know it was exactly what I suspected. It is just hard because he is not caught yet. I just don’t want this happening to anybody else.”
Camron had turned 16 the week before his death.
