Revolutionary Genealogy Testing Resurfaces Key Evidence in Nancy Guthrie Abduction Case

In a bid to crack the mysterious disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, authorities have turned to genealogy testing on a glove discovered a couple of miles from her Tucson residence. This new approach comes after traditional forensic methods hit a dead end, failing to yield any promising leads.

The FBI has confirmed to FOX News that they are deploying this advanced technology on the glove and additional samples from Guthrie’s home. The aim is to identify potential familial connections after entries into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) did not produce any matches.

Earlier this week, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that DNA samples collected from both the glove and Guthrie’s home were not a match, prompting the shift to genealogical analysis.

This strategic change in investigation follows the FBI’s release of video footage and surveillance images showing an individual outside Guthrie’s home at the time of her disappearance on January 31. The person in the footage was wearing a glove that closely resembles the one found nearby.

As the search for Guthrie continues, authorities are also delving into two ransom notes sent to local media outlets. One of these notes demanded a substantial sum in Bitcoin for Guthrie’s safe return, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.

No arrests have been made.
