The U.S. Marshals Service has announced a reward for any information that could help locate Travis Turner, a Virginia high school football coach currently on the run.
FOX 8 reports that the USMS is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for tips leading to Turner’s capture. He is wanted on five counts of possessing child pornography.
According to CrimeOnline, Turner was last spotted on November 20. At the time, he was wearing gray sweatpants, a gray shirt, and glasses.
Turner, who serves as the head football coach at Union High School in Big Stone Gap, is believed to have entered a wooded area near his home in Appalachia while carrying a firearm.
Later that evening, worried about his absence, Turner’s wife reported him missing to the police.
Police have been focusing on the wooded area where Turner was last seen, utilizing K-9 units and drones.
Turner has since been removed from the staff member website at the high school.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Virginia State Police Division 4 at 276-484-9483 or send an email questions@vsp.virginia.gov. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
