Sean Combs Trial: Former Assistant Says Diddy Sexually Assaulted Her Multiple Times

President Donald Trump said on Monday that Sean “Diddy” Combs sought a pardon in his federal prosecution case, for which he was sentenced to four years last week.

Trump told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that “a lot of people have asked me for pardons,” including Ghislaine Maxwell and Combs. Months earlier, Combs’ attorney, Nicole Westmoreland, told the network about their plans to contact Trump regarding a pardon.

“I call him Puff Daddy; he has asked me for a pardon,” Trump said this week, according to Fox News.

Shortly after Westmoreland’s comments in August, Trump claimed he had not seen Combs for years. At the time, Trump suggested he was very unlikely to pardon Combs because he was critical of him when he entered politics.

“I got along with him great, and he seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well. But when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” he told Newmax.

On Friday, Combs was sentenced to 50 months for transporting people across state lines to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors sought an 11-year sentence, while Combs’ attorneys requested 14 months, prompting his immediate release due to the time he had already served.

Judge Arun Subramanian said Combs’ crimes warranted a substantial sentence “to send a message to abusers and victims alike that exploitation and violence against women is met with real accountability.” While the judge disagreed with the defense’s request for a 14-month sentence, he also concluded that the prosecution’s recommendation of a sentence exceeding 11 years was unreasonable.

Combs’ lawyers said they plan to appeal his sentence.
