At just 13 years old, Celeste Rivas Hernandez vanished from her home in Lake Elsinore, a community located about 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
Standing at 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, Celeste was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray pants, and Hello Kitty sandals. According to those close to her, she had a boyfriend known as “David.”
As she navigated her early teenage years, Celeste befriended singer D4vd on social media, prompting her to run away to Hollywood in hopes of meeting the emerging musician. Fortunately, police were able to locate her and bring her back to her family in Lake Elsinore.
After her return, Celeste attended school for about a month. However, in May, David Anthony Burke, known professionally as “D4vd,” reportedly picked her up in a Tesla for a movie outing, after which she failed to return home.
Meanwhile, in the Hollywood Hills, residents grew suspicious of a dusty 2023 Tesla Model Y with Texas plates that had been parked on their street for a month, prompting them to report the vehicle to authorities.
Days later, employees at Hollywood Tow notice a foul odor coming from the Tesla and call the police. When officers arrive, they discover human remains wrapped in plastic, placed in a bag, and hidden in the frunk of the Tesla.
Police identify the person/victim as female, 5 feet 2, weighing 71 pounds, with wavy black hair, wearing a tube top and black leggings.
Reports later state the remains are severely decomposed, partially dismembered, and identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the child who was reported missing more than a year ago.
Authorities report the Tesla is owned by singer/songwriter D4vd, who is reported to be living in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood near where the Tesla was abandoned.
