A Florida woman is currently behind bars, facing charges for allegedly stabbing her teenage sister approximately ten times. The violent encounter reportedly erupted after the younger sibling attempted to prevent the woman from accessing her phone.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon in Cutler Bay, as reported by WPLG. The arrest report details that the 15-year-old victim had been napping in the living room when she awoke to find her 26-year-old sister, Lynn My Le, rifling through her phone.
Upon confronting Le and attempting to retrieve the phone, the situation escalated. Le allegedly armed herself with a knife, prompting the teenager to run towards the front door in fear. Le is accused of pursuing her sibling and stabbing her approximately four times in the back. After the girl collapsed, Le allegedly continued the attack, stabbing her around six more times, even as the victim begged for mercy.
At some point, Le ceased the assault. She has been charged with attempted murder but has reportedly declined to cooperate with detectives or provide any statements regarding the incident.
Details about who alerted authorities remain unclear at this time.
Le was denied bond at a hearing on Monday. Her arraignment is scheduled for November 17.
