GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities have taken Vision Cierra Wilson, aged 44, into custody, accusing her of financially exploiting an elderly woman by allegedly making unauthorized transactions with her relative’s bank account.
On January 9, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Wilson’s relatives, who claimed she had inappropriately accessed funds from an elderly family member’s account. While Wilson was initially authorized to use the victim’s debit card for purchases on her behalf, this permission had reportedly not been granted in recent weeks.
The sheriff’s deputy documented that 19 unauthorized purchases, amounting to $739.73, occurred between January 2 and January 8, 2026.
After being informed of her rights, Wilson allegedly confessed to using the debit card without consent, acknowledging her awareness of the wrongdoing. She admitted to storing the victim’s bank details on her phone and utilizing the debit card information to “pay for data on my phone.”
Wilson has been charged with exploitation of an elderly person, fraudulent use of personal identification information, petit theft, and unlawful use of a two-way communications device.
As of Wilson’s last local arrest in 2020, she had two felony convictions (non-violent) and eight misdemeanor convictions (one violent). Judge Donna Keim set bail at $15,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
