In a tragic incident in Oregon, a man has been accused of fatally attacking his partner during a domestic dispute, subsequently disposing of her body in the woods with assistance from his teenage son, according to law enforcement.

William Glen Blake, aged 56, faces a second-degree murder charge for the death of 38-year-old Jennifer Ruth Stuart. Additional allegations against him include corpse mistreatment, illegal weapon use with domestic violence intent, and evidence tampering, as indicated by jail documents.

Authorities suspect that Blake ended Stuart’s life on August 15 at their residence on Hilltop Lane in Oregon City. Her body remained undiscovered until September 1, when it was located in the Mount Hood National Forest. The exact cause of her death remains unknown at this time.

Information from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, shared in a press release, points to additional involvement in the post-mortem activities related to Stuart’s death, particularly implicating Blake’s 15-year-old son.

The teenager was apprehended for his involvement in relocating Stuart’s body and is currently held at the Clackamas County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center. He faces charges of corpse abuse and evidence tampering, as detailed in the press release.

While the defendant’s son was not named, authorities are asking for the public’s help locating another of Blake’s sons — 17-year-old Austin Michael Blake, as well as a red Chevy Avalanche with Texas plates.

Though authorities said Stuart shared a home with William Blake before her death, local reporting suggests the victim was previously homeless. Other homeless people in the area said it was suspicious that she was found so far away.

“She was a good girl, but she’s in a better place I guess,” Stuart’s friend Mike Chaney told local Fox affiliate KPTV. “When I found out, it hit me in my stomach, it hurt. Why do we have to lose the good ones when there are so many bad people out there?”

William Blake is currently being held without bail.

Clackamas County is located in northern Oregon, just south of Portland.
