On February 4, Massachusetts law enforcement apprehended 47-year-old Enel Janvier, accused of stabbing a man in a dispute over a parking spot, as stated in a press release from the Boston Police Department. This incident occurred after a snowstorm had layered the area with fresh snow.

Upon arriving at the scene in Dorchester, officers encountered three individuals on the sidewalk. Among them were a man and a woman who were both bleeding profusely from their hands. The release detailed that blood was visible on the sidewalk, the walkway, and surrounding snowbanks.

Authorities detained the third individual, identified as Enel Janvier, while the injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.

Through the assistance of a translator, police determined that the altercation stemmed from a conflict over a recently shoveled parking space. The language barrier necessitated this aid to clarify the details of the incident.

According to NBC Boston, the male victim, Mojilo Thelot, confronted Janvier after discovering that he had parked in the spot Thelot claimed to have cleared, leading to the violent encounter.

“During the altercation, Janvier allegedly stabbed the male victim in the hand with a knife,” read the press release. “The female victim sustained an injury to her hand while attempting to intervene and disarm him.”

Thelot told the station in Spanish, via a translator, that Janvier had refused to move his car at his request.

An argument broke out and Janvier’s wife allegedly gave him a knife, according to the station which obtained court documents, an item he used to stab Thelot’s hand. At one point, Thelot’s sister tried to stop the fighting.

Meanwhile, Thelot’s wife also received a stab wound, reported the station.

NBC Boston spoke to a resident who claimed that all the parties live together.

The station also interviewed Janvier, who told the outlet that he did not stab anyone.

Janvier will appear in Dorchester District Court, per the police press release. He faces a charge of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
