Authorities are on the hunt for a Tennessee man suspected of slaughtering four members of a family he allegedly “knew” — including two parents and a teenager — on the same day a 7-month-old relative of theirs was abandoned in a “random” person’s yard in a car seat, officials say.

Austin Drummond, 28, is wanted in connection with the deaths of James M. Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, the teen, on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Court records viewed by Law&Crime show he has multiple convictions on his record — including armed robbery, vandalism and a “retaliate for past action” charge, which is when someone commits an act of harming or threatening someone in response to their prior involvement in legal proceedings.

“The victims were all from Dyer County, and we suspect the person that killed them knew all of them,” said local district attorney Danny Goodman Jr., of the 29th Judicial District, in an interview with CNN on Thursday. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation told Law&Crime that Drummond was being added to the state’s most wanted list as he was still being sought as of 2 p.m. local time.

“At this time, Drummond remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous,” a TBI press release says.

Authorities released photos of Drummond online Thursday and alerted the public about his alleged involvement. A Facebook profile with the same name and same images released by law enforcement is purportedly “friends” with a profile that shares the same purported name as one of the victims, with it being Williams. In September 2024, the person behind the profile posted how he had been released from prison after making multiple posts in the months and years prior from a purported correctional facility.

Court records show Drummond was sentenced to 10 years for armed robbery in 2015 after he swiped $44 from a Circle K convenience store register.

“I got the munchies,” he told a clerk before robbing the store with a pistol, according to court documents.

“I’m not f—ing playing with you,” Drummond said after going behind the counter. “Open the drawer.”

Federal investigators and TBI agents were on the ground Wednesday aiding police with the “tragic” death investigation after the bodies were found Tuesday in Lake County along Carrington Road in Tiptonville, according to TBI officials. The probe stemmed from the discovery of Wilson and Williams’ 7-month-old daughter in a “random individual’s front yard” on Tuesday at around 3:10 p.m., police say.

A “dark-colored minivan or a white mid-size SUV” was reported to have dropped off the infant in a car seat, which led cops to Lake County and the bodies being found roughly five hours later after authorities identified the child’s parents, per Goodman.

The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office posted a statement on Facebook Thursday saying Drummond is believed to be driving a 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee plates and damage to the driver’s side.

“Spot him? Do not approach!” the office warned.
