Two Pennsylvania men who went to the wrong home with the intent to steal guns have been found guilty of first-degree murder.

Charles Fulforth, 41, and Kelvin Roberts Jr., 42, were convicted on seven felony charges after a jury deliberated for around four hours and delivered its verdict on Thursday evening. Roberts and Fulforth were found guilty of murdering 25-year-old Andrew Gaudio and seriously injuring his mother, Bernadette Gaudio, who was 61 years old at the time of the home invasion in December 2024.

The two men — who worked together at Junkluggers and, allegedly, as gun traffickers — had been tipped off to a stash of guns at the home of an elderly couple.

But that home was in an entirely different county.

On Dec. 8, 2024, Roberts and Fulforth illegally entered the home where Andrew and Bernadette Gaudio lived. According to courtroom reporting by local Fox affiliate WTXF, Bernadette Gaudio heard her son call for her while she hid in her bed. He made his way up to her room where he was shot in the head. She testified that she “knew right away” that her son had been killed.

Roberts shot Bernadette Gaudio multiple times, leaving her paralyzed.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said at a press conference after the arrests, “They went into the wrong house with bad intentions and shot an innocent 61-year-old woman as she lay in her bed and they executed her 25-year-old son. And I say executed because Andrew was shot in the back of the head as he lay down on the floor of his mother’s bedroom, and he was facedown when that shot to the back of the head came.”

Law&Crime previously reported that a third suspect, Jeremy Fuentes, was the one who allegedly tipped Roberts and Fulforth off to a home in Bucks County that had a stocked gun safe. Fuentes and another unnamed Junkluggers employee — who testified at trial — had taken an estimate at the Bucks County home and allegedly shared the information about the gun safe with Fulforth and Roberts. Fuentes is scheduled to go on trial separately.

Fulforth and Roberts were found guilty of first-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, and other charges. They were found not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. The will be sentenced at a later date.
