An Indiana teen is accused of threatening to murder the mother of his friend’s unborn child in an Instagram Live video — telling her, “I don’t give a f— if your baby dies or not” — over an ongoing argument that his pal has been having with her, police say.
Peyton A. Manning, 18, of Delaware County, was arrested Thursday morning and booked on one count of forcible felony intimidation after making the threats on Instagram, the local CBS affiliate WTTV reports, citing local police officials.
Manning, who turned 18 on Wednesday, allegedly told a woman who is 12 weeks pregnant with his friend’s child that he would murder her while holding a gun up to his face during an Instagram Live video.
“I’ll kill that baby too,” Manning allegedly said during the stream.
Charging documents obtained by WTTV outline how he originally denied issuing the threats when questioned by police about them after being found at a local Quality Inn.
“Peyton originally denied saying anything, and then asked officers why we expected him not to say anything after he was threatened,” an officer says in the incident report. “Peyton asked me if I thought he would kill a child, and I responded that based on what he said in the video, I would have any reason to believe he would be capable of doing so.”

Manning eventually admitted to making the threats, according to police, but claimed he wasn’t planning on actually doing anything. Cops say his friend is the father of the baby and has been feuding with the mother. The Instagram video that Manning allegedly made stemmed from an ongoing argument the pair was having.
Police took Manning into custody early Thursday morning and charged him with forcible intimidation. He was released on a $5,000 bond and is awaiting his first court date.
