GAINESVILLE, Fla. – An 18-year-old named Adry’n Sakai Louis Santiago found himself in custody yesterday following an incident related to road rage back in November 2025. He faces charges for exhibiting a firearm during this altercation and is also accused of illegally concealing the weapon due to his age.

The event unfolded on November 21, 2025, around 9 a.m., when a concerned witness dialed 911. She reported that a white Kia was aggressively tailgating her along SW 61st Street and then overtook her, crossing a double yellow line. As the driver sped past, the witness shouted at him, at which point he allegedly brandished a black gun, waving it in the air before extending it out of the driver’s side window. However, she noted that he never aimed the weapon at her or anyone else.

While still on the call with authorities, the witness spotted a similar Kia approaching once more. As it passed by, she confirmed it was the same vehicle and the same individual behind the wheel who had previously shown the firearm.

Responding to the situation, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over the Kia, driven by Santiago. During a subsequent search of the car, prompted by visible marijuana, officers reportedly discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in the center console. Interestingly, the deputy’s account of the search did not mention finding any marijuana.

Post Miranda, Santiago reportedly said he was the person who was involved in the reported firearm incident, and he “provided no valid reason for his actions.”

Santiago has been charged with improperly displaying a firearm, unlawfully concealing a firearm due to his age, and driving without a valid license. In a warrant for his arrest, Judge Robert Groeb ordered him released on his own recognizance, and he was released before attending a First Appearance hearing.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
