A 19-year-old man from Texas is accused of unleashing a sword attack on an individual during an argument, hacking away the victim”s hand and mutilating his face before blaming it all on a “dog,” according to cops.

“I cut his motherf—ing hand off,” said Deroyce Brown, of Texarkana, in his interview with police after the July 23 stabbing, according to the teen’s probable cause affidavit, which was obtained by local news website TXK Today.

Brown is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly attacking another man at a house in the 500 block of Lumpkin Street, according to court records. The Texarkana Police Department filed Brown’s affidavit in Bowie County on Wednesday after taking him into custody the morning of the alleged attack. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.

“Was screaming like a b—,” Brown recounted about the victim after he plunged the sword into the man’s face and eye, authorities report.

A witness who was at the home told police he heard Brown arguing with the victim before he woke up and “saw blood on the floors,” per the affidavit. Brown allegedly fled and was later found at a nearby address on Waterman Street, with cops following a blood trail from the crime scene to where he was, investigators say.

During his police interview, Brown was asked to recall the alleged events.

“What else you think happened?” he allegedly said, before describing how he sliced up the man’s face and stabbed his eye, as well as his shoulder. The two of them had been drinking and were reportedly fighting over an item that Brown thought was taken from him, according to police and TXK Today.

Brown allegedly tried claiming that a “dog” attacked the victim, along with stating that he acted in self-defense. Authorities were unable to find any animals inside of the home or evidence of an attack on Brown.

After speaking to cops, Brown was allegedly spotted on surveillance cameras acting erratically in the interview room. “[Brown] began to laugh out loud and said he didn’t want to talk and confirmed he wanted a lawyer,” the affidavit says, noting how he laid on the floor at one point and verbally recounted how the victim was “screaming.”

Brown is facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
