GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a case that has shocked the local community, 18-year-old Christopher Deon Flintroyal Jr. is facing serious legal consequences after being charged with 10 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.
An investigative deep dive by a detective from the Gainesville Police Department revealed alarming activities through 11 CyberTips originating from platforms like Instagram, Discord, Snapchat, and Dropbox. These tips, linked to child exploitation content, were traced back to several IP addresses associated with a Gainesville residence belonging to one of Flintroyal’s relatives.
Through meticulous examination, officers discovered that the account names flagged in the CyberTips belonged to Flintroyal. Notably, it was observed that Flintroyal was still a minor when the initial reports of these activities were made.
On August 27, the detective reached out to Flintroyal, who consented to a discussion in an inconspicuous vehicle stationed outside his relative’s home. Flintroyal’s cooperation marked a significant step in the investigation process.
After being informed of his rights, Flintroyal initially claimed that hackers had compromised his accounts. Nonetheless, he permitted the detective to search his two cell phones. Subsequently, Flintroyal altered his account, acknowledging ownership of the implicated accounts from the CyberTips. However, he insisted that the disturbing videos were shared with him in group chats during his minor years, and he strongly asserted that no child sexual abuse material would be found on his devices.
However, after a detective reportedly found “numerous” CSAM videos on one of the phones, Flintroyal reportedly claimed that he had been unable to delete the Google account with the images, so he hadn’t been able to remove them from the device.

After the detective noted that although the CyberTips were filed when Flintroyal was a juvenile, he was being arrested because he still possessed the images as an adult, Flintroyal reportedly acknowledged that he should have deleted the account or gotten rid of the device; he also reportedly admitted to viewing other CSAM videos on another app.
The arrest report describes ten videos, which mostly show prepubescent or pubescent juvenile male and female subjects masturbating or in sexual poses while partially or completely nude.
The detective noted that about 20 more CSAM videos were found in the initial search, so there may be more charges after both phones are searched.
Flintroyal has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material. His full criminal history is unavailable because those documents are not posted for sexual offenses, but he has no local adult criminal history. Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $250,000.
