A 14-year-old boy in Florida is behind bars for allegedly gunning down his parents and then walking over a mile to a church — where he called 911 and said, “Pray for me” — in the middle of the night, cops say.

Trevor Lee, of Clay County, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder for the shooting deaths of his mother, Brandi Smith, 45, and father, David Lee, 44, early Monday at their home in Middleburg, according to a police press release.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says Lee called 911 from Cross Pointe Church on Fleming Island at around 3:48 a.m. after walking about 1.4 miles to get there, Jacksonville news station WJXT reported. He allegedly told a dispatcher that “he had killed his parents” and was waiting in the church for police to arrive.

“I was gonna ask if you could pray for me, ma’am,” Lee allegedly told a dispatcher.

“I’ll definitely be praying for you, son,” she replied.

Lee allegedly admitted to cops that he murdered his parents inside of their home on Silver Point in the Fleming Island area of Middleburg, per WJXT. He was later taken into custody without incident at the church.

Another call made by Lee’s aunt — the sister of David Lee who had reportedly somehow learned of the shooting — details what the couple was doing Sunday before the teen allegedly killed them, WJXT reports.

“They had a good day,” the aunt reportedly said. “They went to the movies.”

“It appears there was some sort of domestic argument,” said Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook at a press conference Monday. “This shooting culminated from that argument.”

Audio from Lee’s 911 call was released Tuesday by Clay County officials, along with his mugshot and arrest report, which details how he waited at Cross Pointe Church for police.

“Take a deep breath because they’re going to come up and talk to you, so you need to be listening for them, OK?” the dispatcher said, according to WJXT.

“Yes, ma’am,” Lee allegedly responded.

A Facebook account identified by relatives as belonging to Smith features a post from 2019 in which she said, “This lil boy gives me pure hell. Everything I did to my parents I’m getting it back times 10. Yall keep us lifted up in prayer.”

Police are reportedly looking into the teen’s mental health history.
