Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dylan Duggan, 27, of Lenoir City, TN, was arrested last night after running onto the field during the University of Florida’s football game against Tennessee.

During the fourth quarter of the game, Duggan allegedly jumped over the wall barrier and made his way past uniformed law enforcement officers and field security personnel who were positioned along the sideline to prevent people from running onto the field. Duggan was detained for trespass after warning and transported to the Alachua County Jail.

Duggan’s criminal history and bail are unavailable.

Emmanuel Craig Agusta Sewell, 22, was arrested near the stadium and charged with trespassing at 7:02 p.m. Officers reportedly noticed Sewell at about 6:30 p.m. when people walking to the stadium expressed concern about his behavior. Sewell is known to the University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) as a “Core Offender” and is trespassed from all University of Florida properties.

Sewell has been in the area for about 11 years but was first arrested in 2022, when he was convicted of stealing and pawning bicycles in the area of the university. He was sentenced to probation but violated the probation and was re-sentenced on August 14, 2023, to 180 days in jail, with credit for 165 days served. Sewell is also facing a charge of stealing a phone from an employee of a downtown business. Bail information is unavailable on weekends.

On top of the above arrests, UFPD announced that 43 people were ejected from the game, including 15 students: 16 for disorderly conduct, 11 for alcohol possession, seven for being intoxicated, five for sitting in the wrong section, two for smoking, and two for standing on the bleachers. [Editor’s note: UFPD’s release listed 48 people ejected or arrested, but the individual infractions added up to 45, including the two arrests.]

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
