A Texas deputy constable was arrested on charges of stalking his ex-girlfriend and threatening her new boyfriend, another law enforcement officer.

Webster Police charged Gustavo Villalon, 31, with stalking and harassment and given a $10,000 bond, which he posted over the weekend, KPRC reported.

An arrest warrant said that Villalon, a deputy constable with Harris County Precinct 8, dated the victim for about 10 months before they broke up last October. But Villalon didn’t give up easily.

Prosecutors say he threatened to “make work hard” for the victim by spreading “nasty rumors” about her from his security job at her place of employment. The victim told Villalon to stop contacting her, but it did not good, the warrant says. He continued to harass her, contacting her via multiple platforms, showing up without an invitation at her home, and leaving items at her apartment door.

According to KTRK, the woman even moved to another apartment, but he followed her home and continued the harassment.

On one occasion, the court documents say, Villalon tracked the victim’s vehicle to a bar where she was on a date with a Seabrook Police officer and showed up to try to convince her to get back together with him. A few days later, he arrived uninvited at her apartment while she was walking her dog, threatened to “shoot” the Seabrook officer, and start an “agency war” between Seabrook police and his Harris County constable’s office.

In surveillance footage obtained from the victim’s apartment complex, Villalon is heard threatening to “put a bullet in [the Seabrook officer’s] head and his wife’s head,” apparently believing that he was married to someone else, KPRC said.

Villalon reportedly left after making the threat but later came back, telling the victim he fired his weapon near the Seabrook Police Department.

The victim reported the harassment to Webster Police on April 30.

Villalon’s employer, Harris County Precinct 8, said it learned of the allegations against their constable on that same date, KPRC said. He was immediately placed and administrative leave pending an internal investigation and “was immediately relieved of his law enforcement credentials,” the office said.

The next day, the constable’s office learned that Webster Police had opened a criminal investigation. He was arrested on May 2.

“Our agency is aware of the case involving Gustavo Villalon, and at this time, the criminal allegation is being handled by the Webster Police Department, and our agency is conducting its own internal investigation. I have no further comment at this time pending the conclusion of those investigations,” Precinct 8 said.
