Texas Man Arrested for Desecrating Cemetery, Throwing Human Remains Over FBI Dallas Fence

In a bizarre and unsettling incident, a Texas resident has been charged after allegedly tossing a container filled with human remains at the FBI’s Dallas Field Office and sharing the spectacle on YouTube.

The individual in question, Michael Chadwick Fry, is facing serious charges including two counts of corpse abuse and evidence tampering. Authorities report that these remains were illicitly taken from a cemetery in Denton, Texas, as detailed in a statement released by Bartonville Police.

Police Say Michael Fry Filmed Himself Throwing Remains Over FBI Fence

The investigation was set in motion on March 16, following a call to police by Fry’s mother, who expressed concerns about her son’s suspicious actions. According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Oxygen, she informed police Lt. Colby Scudder that Fry had requested money from her to rent a U-Haul, claiming he needed it to transport a body. Alarmed by his request, she contacted authorities after Fry left her property in an agitated state.

As police initiated their search for Fry, his sister brought forward troubling information. She reported that Fry had uploaded a video on YouTube, showcasing himself at the FBI’s Dallas office, where he brazenly threw a “large white bucket” containing human bones over the fence.

In the video, titled “We send Elizabeth over the FBI fence to summon them by force,” Fry purportedly stated his intention was to capture the attention of the FBI through this shocking act, as per details in the affidavit.

“The Defendant frames this as a way to ‘summon them by force’ and compel the FBI to intervene in what he describes as wrongdoing by Denton County officials from a past arrest,” Lt. Scudder wrote in the probable cause affidavit. “The video then shows the Defendant throwing a large white bucket that is closed over the fence into the secure parking lot of the FBI building.”

It’s unclear what alleged wrongdoing Fry—who has a criminal record dating back to 2003, according to jail records reviewed by Oxygen—was referring to in the video.

The FBI later confirmed the bucket contained what “appeared to be human bones,” according to the court document.

Michael Fry Allegedly Filmed YouTube Video With Human Skull, Urn

As police took a deeper look into Fry’s YouTube account, titled “Fry and Barto news! Where we reveal mass killers,” they found another short video of him at his home in Bartonville with a human skull, per the affidavit.

“In the video the skull appears to have dirt and hair still connected, along with leaves and other organic matter which appeared to be a real human skull,” Scudder wrote. “The Defendant calls this skull ‘Elizabeth Virginia Lyon’. This leads Your Affiant to believe that the bones from the FBI Field Office and this skull are connected from the same human remains.”

Another video showed him with an urn of ashes, Bartonville Police noted in the statement announcing Fry’s arrest.

“Investigators later determined that Fry had stolen an urn containing human remains from a cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK,” police said. “The Oklahoma City Police Department had an active case from February of this year related to the theft.”

FBI agents also found evidence that Fry allegedly removed a coffin containing human remains from a mausoleum in Denton, Texas, police said.

In addition, Fry’s mother discovered GPS history in her vehicle that included three searches for cemeteries, according to the affidavit, including one in Arlington, Texas and two more in Oklahoma City. Plus, she uncovered a shovel at her house that she had never seen before and told authorities that Fry had begun to lock the shed in the backyard, per the court records.

Fry was arrested and taken into custody after a search warrant was issued at his home March 18. Police said the case remains “active and ongoing,” and noted that they have notified the families of the victims of the alleged thefts.

Fry is currently being held in the Denton County jail on a $30,000 surety bond, according to court records reviewed by Oxygen. It’s unclear whether he has retained an attorney. Oxygen reached out to the Denton County public defender’s office, but did not receive an immediate reply.

Fry made headlines in 2018 after he allegedly crashed a truck into the FOX 4 building in Downtown Dallas, the outlet reported. After crashing the vehicle, Fry allegedly threw sheets of paper onto the sidewalk and left an orange duffel bag, leading to the deployment of the bomb squad. At the time, he was allegedly upset about a 2012 police shooting that killed his friend, per NBC News, and was charged with second-degree criminal mischief. It’s unclear what became of those charges.
