Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Shortly after 2 a.m. this morning, Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of 5900 SW 20th Avenue (Woodland Villas/Majestic Oaks) after multiple citizens reported hearing gunfire in the area. Shortly after arrival, an area hospital reported three male patients arriving with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Detectives are currently working to determine what took place.
