Three teens are facing charges for their alleged roles in what Wisconsin police describe as a “wild west-style shootout” that killed an aspiring nurse and a teenage boy outside a party at a strip mall.

Earl Williams III, 17, stands accused of felony murder, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and possessing a machine gun. Jardan Anderson, 18, and Isiah Daniels, 17, each face a harboring or aiding a felon charge.

The incident occurred on June 20 in Milwaukee, but prosecutors recently released a criminal complaint that described the chaotic shooting that saw 110 bullets fired from 11 different firearms — all in 20 seconds, a probable cause arrest affidavit obtained by Law&Crime said.

Cops responded around 11 p.m. that night to 8223 W. Brown Deer Rd. for a shooting. Officers found 19-year-old Bre’nee Veasley suffering from a gunshot wound to her abdomen. First responders tried to save her life but they later pronounced her dead. Another victim, 17-year-old Kingston Liphford, also died, and three others, ages 14, 15 and 17, also were struck by gunfire, authorities say.

Investigators determined shots were “clustered” in three different areas “indicating a wild west-style shootout,” cops said. Surveillance video showed the first volley of shots came from an automatic weapon.

A witness who attended the party with Veasley said they went inside for about 20 minutes and they walked out to the parking lot, where she saw Daniels standing near a Chevrolet Malibu. She was speaking with him when she saw a man wearing a ski mask and holding a firearm.

The witness told investigators she asked the man to put the gun away because it was “scaring her.” Moments later, the masked person allegedly opened fire starting the shootout. The witness reportedly ducked under some cars and later saw Veasley had been shot.

Detectives spoke with Daniels who said he arrived at the party with Williams and Anderson in the Malibu. Daniels allegedly said Williams had a gun with a switch on it that makes a semi-automatic firearm automatic. Anderson also spoke to detectives and stated they drove Williams away from the scene and then spray painted the Malibu “in order to attempt to avoid detection related to this shooting,” cops wrote. Williams allegedly told his co-defendants he started shooting because he believed there were rival gang members with guns in the parking lot.

Some 17 days after the shooting, cops responded to a weapons call. A Nissan Maxima crashed into a police car and all the people inside got out and ran. The front passenger, Williams, was allegedly in possession of a Glock 23 with a switch on it. There were 13 shots fired from that weapon in the strip mall party shootout, cops said.

While cops do not believe Williams fired the shots that killed Veasley, they allege he caused the death by opening fire starting the shootout. Williams remains in the Milwaukee County Jail on a $300,000 bond, while it appears Daniels and Anderson have since bonded out.

According to a GoFundMe account, Veasley was going to college to become a nurse.

“A 19-year-old with her whole life ahead of her. A college student. A nurse, taken the night before her first day saving lives. A peacemaker. A light in our family,” the fundraiser said. “A 4.0 GPA her entire scholastic career. She did everything right—and still, this city failed to protect her. Bre wasn’t in the streets. She wasn’t in trouble. She was simply trying to enjoy her time out of school at a teen party. But because of fragile egos, poor conflict resolution, and unchecked violence, she never made it home.”

Williams has a court date scheduled for Monday, while Anderson is slated to appear on Sept. 29. Daniels’ next court appearance is unclear.
