In a tragic conclusion to a three-week search, the body of a pregnant woman from Michigan, who had been missing, was discovered by a search team on Tuesday.

The remains of Rebecca Park were located close to her mother’s residence in Boon Township. According to WWTV, Rebecca’s father initially reported finding the body.

However, WPBN reported that another individual claimed the discovery. It is possible these individuals were part of the same search group that was combing the area on Tuesday.

The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office announced that a body was located in the Manistee National Forest, but refrained from confirming the identity, as reported by Cadillac News. Authorities stated that further information would be provided following a positive identification and notification of the family.

Rebecca Park, aged 22, was last observed entering the passenger side of a sedan near her mother’s home on November 3. She had mentioned to someone that she was being picked up, but the driver remained unidentified, according to CrimeOnline. Her cell phone was later discovered on the road nearby.

Park was 38 weeks pregnant when she disappeared, and police said she was considered possibly endangered.

The sheriff’s office also said that it had not found any blooding clothing or other items, despite social media claims saying they had, Cadillac News said. They further claimed that misinformation shared online had hindered the investigation, prompting them to limit information provided.
