Authorities in Georgia have arrested a woman after discovering the remains of a 4-year-old child in the trunk of her Nissan sedan on Sunday.

Jessica Motes is now facing a felony charge for concealing a death, though the child’s connection to her remains unclear, according to police reports.

On Sunday, Motes’ father encountered her at a parking lot in Oakwood. During their meeting, she allegedly confessed to her father that she had “hurt” the child and feared the worst, stating, “I think she is dead,” as reported by 11 Alive News.

Following this alarming confession, her father contacted law enforcement, leading officers to discover the tragic remains in the vehicle’s trunk.

The investigation is being conducted by both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional details are unavailable at this time. Check back for updates.
