An unsettling discovery in Apopka, Florida has prompted an investigation by local police after a woman and her brother were found deceased inside Griffin’s General Store on Friday night.
Authorities were alerted just before 9 p.m., and upon arrival, they confirmed the deaths of the two individuals. The Apopka Police Department has yet to determine whether the tragic event was a homicide or potentially a murder-suicide, leaving many questions unanswered.
While the police have not publicly disclosed the identities of the deceased, the store owner has identified them as Schneita Swift and her brother, Ezra, according to reports by WESH.
As the investigation unfolds, further details remain sparse, with investigators opting not to release additional information at this time.
Investigators declined to release the identities of the two people found, but WESH said the store owner identified them as Schneita Swift and her brother Ezra.
The store owner said that Swift was a former employee but customers and Schneita’s ex-husband told WKMG she was a current employee.
“If you know her, she’s going to lift your spirit up — even her brother. They were good people,” said Stanley, who described her as his favorite cashier.
“She was a sweet girl. Her brother was a sweet dude. They didn’t bother anyone,” Kizzy Ward, a longtime friend of the family, told WESH. “They were just lovable people.”
