Tragedy struck in Wisconsin as a couple was discovered dead, reportedly from gunshot wounds, inside their vehicle earlier this month. Authorities identified the victims as Rachel Dumovich, 29, and her husband, Brandon Dumovich, 30.
The grim discovery was made on October 6 in Harvard, Illinois, after a local police officer came across an abandoned vehicle with its hazard lights on in the 700 block of North Division Street, as reported by FOX News Digital.
According to the Harvard Police Department, a gun was found inside the car. Rachel was seated in the driver’s position, while Brandon occupied the passenger seat. Both had sustained gunshot wounds.
The area was temporarily cordoned off as a precautionary measure until police confirmed there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
Just hours before the tragic incident, Rachel shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, reflecting on their planned honeymoon. She wrote, “Forever chasing sunsets. Wishing we were back in Greece,” alluding to their cherished memories and future plans.
According to the wedding website, The Knot, the couple had been days away from celebrating their first anniversary. The profile also indicated that they were “middle school sweethearts.”
