Authorities are on the hunt for the driver of a black Audi Q3 connected to a tragic hit-and-run incident that took the life of a woman in California on Saturday.
According to KTLA, the heartbreaking event occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Fox Hills Drive in West Los Angeles.
Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division have stated that the 74-year-old woman was struck while she was within a designated crosswalk, moving southbound.
The vehicle involved is suspected to be an Audi Q3, model years ranging from 2011 to 2018, which was heading west on Pico Boulevard.
Upon arrival, Los Angeles Fire Department responders pronounced the victim, a local resident whose name has yet to be made public, deceased at the scene.
“The driver of the Audi failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid to the pedestrian as required by law,” the LAPD said in a press release.

“A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise,” LAPD stated.
