In a tragic incident in New Jersey, police officers fatally shot a man who aggressively charged at them with a knife. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered the bodies of three additional individuals inside the residence.
As reported by WABC, officers from the Piscataway Police Department responded to a call around 5:30 p.m. The call reported a man brandishing a knife at the location. Despite the officers’ attempts to subdue him using tasers, the man continued to advance, prompting them to resort to lethal force.
After the man was subdued, officers entered the home and discovered three more deceased individuals. Sources within law enforcement indicated that two of the victims were grandparents, though the identities of the other victims and their connections to them remain unclear.
Further details revealed by WNYW indicate that the weapon used by the assailant was specifically a machete.

New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association President Peter Andreyev released a statement confirming that “all our members that were involved are ok and being evaluated.”
