Amber Goldman, aged 36, was detained by Gautier Police Department officers on Monday as they probed the deaths of her sons, aged 2 and 5. According to a press statement from the department, the incident occurred at Goldman’s residence, prompting police to respond at 5:30 p.m. after receiving an alert about two unresponsive children.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the boys lying near a backyard swimming pool at the home located on 3 Oaks Drive in Gautier. Emergency personnel administered immediate medical assistance before the children were transported to a local hospital, where they were later declared deceased.
