In the unfolding case of Anna Kepner’s tragic death, new information came to light during a family court session focused on Thomas Hudson’s urgent request for custody of his 9-year-old daughter with Shauntel Hudson.
Thomas Hudson raised concerns about his daughter’s wellbeing while living under the care of Shauntel Hudson and Christopher Kepner. He cited their inadequate supervision of older children during a cruise he opposed, as a key issue.
Shauntel, who is Anna’s stepmother, revealed that her 16-year-old son is the primary suspect in Anna’s murder, whereas her younger son, Connor, has been exonerated from any involvement.
Hudson’s legal representative mentioned uncertainty regarding whether the FBI will pursue federal charges or delegate the murder investigation to state authorities.
During her testimony, Shauntel stated that her 16-year-old son is currently living with her relatives after being released from psychiatric evaluation. She assured the court that he will not return to the household she shares with Christopher Kepner and their three other children, even if the FBI closes the case without pressing charges.
Shauntel’s oldest son, Andrew, testifies his mother allowed him to drink alcohol in the past, a story corroborated by Shauntel’s stepmother, Sonya Ziske.
Ziske witnessed Shauntel’s pour herself and both of her sons, 16 and 14 at the time, a shot of liquor.
