An Ohio resident has confessed to fatally shooting his girlfriend, claiming he believed she was unfaithful. In a 911 call to authorities, he shockingly stated that she “got what she deserved” and expressed an unwillingness to surrender without a “fight,” as detailed in court documents.

The accused, Jayme Rogers, 34, is now facing murder and additional felony charges following the alleged killing of his 33-year-old girlfriend, Jaime Dick, early on Tuesday morning, according to court records available online.

Jaime Dick, a mother of two, was discovered deceased in her still-running vehicle near her home in Dayton around 2 a.m. This information is outlined in an arrest affidavit reported by local CBS affiliate WHIO. Rogers himself called 911 to report the incident, admitting to shooting Dick three times due to suspicions of infidelity, as alleged in the affidavit.

During the 911 call, Rogers reportedly initiated the conversation by urging, “Get here quick, someone is shot,” as per police records. He allegedly went on to declare that Dick “got what she deserved” and insisted he wouldn’t “go out without a (expletive) fight,” according to reports from the Dayton Daily News, referencing court documents.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Rogers emerged from a residence and openly confessed to the shooting. Investigators reportedly uncovered bullet casings near Dick’s car and on the adjacent sidewalk, with the vehicle’s passenger window showing signs of gunfire.

Rogers was taken into custody and charged with murder, felonious assault, having weapons while under disability, and discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises. His bond was set at $1 million and his next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 20.

An obituary for Dick says she is survived by her two children.

“Jaime will be remembered as a loving mom, a devoted daughter, and the very best sister a family could ever ask for,” the obit says. “She was a beautiful soul in every sense of the word, inside and out, whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.”
