A tragic incident unfolded in Wyoming on Wednesday morning when a 43-year-old man shot his 23-year-old wife before taking his own life.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Christopher Moon made a chilling 911 call shortly before 8 a.m., confessing to the murder of his wife and announcing his intention to end his own life, as reported by KIFI.
Responding swiftly, several law enforcement agencies, including the SWAT team, descended upon the location. They discovered Moon inside one of two vehicles parked by the roadside. Officers attempted to negotiate his surrender over the phone, but tragically, he shot himself in front of them.
Following the harrowing event, officers moved in and discovered the lifeless body of Cassandra “Cassie” Moon. According to Bonneville County Sgt. Bryan Lovell, there were no other victims.
The couple leaves behind three children, two sons and a baby daughter. Authorities have not disclosed the whereabouts of the children during the incident.
