Nick Reiner made his first court appearance in Los Angeles on Wednesday following charges related to the deaths of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
During the hearing, the 32-year-old donned a blue vest and spoke only to say, “Yes, your honor,” during the brief session.
His arraignment has been rescheduled to January 7, marking the second postponement since his arrest on Sunday in connection to the tragic incident.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office reported on Wednesday that the couple died from multiple sharp force injuries.
Speculation has arisen suggesting that the Reiners may have somehow contributed to the tragic events due to their perceived shortcomings as parents to their troubled middle son.
Critics highlight Nick Reiner’s early signs of addiction and meth. The teen reportedly entered rehab for around his 15th birthday.
