Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gina Maria Musolino, 60, was arrested yesterday and charged with theft and property damage in connection with a June 2 incident at Texas Roadhouse.

At about 5:10 p.m. on June 2, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Texas Roadhouse (3984 SW 43rd St.), where the victim said he and Musolino had argued in the parking lot after Musolino accused the victim of bumping her vehicle with his car door.

Musolino allegedly went into the restaurant, took a set of cutlery, left the restaurant without paying for it, and then damaged all four doors and the rear panel of the victim’s vehicle. The damage was estimated at over $3,300.

A witness reportedly told the deputy that she saw Musolino vandalizing the victim’s vehicle, noticed the damage on the vehicle, and went into the restaurant to notify the manager. The deputy reported that video surveillance showed Musolino circling the victim’s vehicle before she left.

The manager of Texas Roadhouse said the restaurant wanted to press charges for the theft of the cutlery, which was valued at $5.

The deputy reportedly made contact with Musolino on June 10. Post Miranda, she reportedly admitted damaging the victim’s vehicle “out of frustration.” She denied stealing the cutlery and reportedly said the restaurant gave her the cutlery set.

Musolino has been charged with felony property damage and misdemeanor theft. According to court records, she has been in the area for about 10 months and has been working as a Clinical Professor and Associate Director of Curriculum of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. She has no criminal history, and Judge Kristine Van Vorst released her on her own recognizance.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
