The search remains active for Kierra Coles, an Illinois woman who disappeared under suspicious circumstances in 2018.
Kierra Coles, who was pregnant at the time, was last seen leaving her Chicago apartment dressed in her work uniform, despite having called in sick that day. Authorities suspect foul play in her disappearance.
In 2022, video footage emerged, allegedly showing Coles withdrawing cash from an ATM at a Walgreens in the Chatham area. This is believed to be her last confirmed sighting.
The video, captured just minutes after Coles was seen leaving with an unidentified man, shows her in the car. Police have labeled this man a person of interest. He returned to Coles’ apartment the next day, leaving her vehicle parked outside with her phone, purse, and lunch still inside.
According to WFLD reports, the man was also observed entering Coles’ apartment building and later departing with unspecified items. He eventually left the vicinity in his own vehicle, parked nearby.
The man allegedly provided conflicting accounts of what happened on the night in question. Despite this, no arrests have been made.
Coles was 26 and three months pregnant when she vanished. A motive in her disappearance remains a mystery.
Coles was described as standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds, and having black hair and brown eyes. She has a heart tattoo on her right hand or wrist, and a tattoo that reads, “Lucky Libra” on her back.
As of September 2025, a $68,000 reward is being offered in this case. Anyone with information regarding Coles’ whereabouts should call Chicago police at 312-747-5789.
