Georgia police continue to search for a missing woman who vanished from the Doraville area Monday and hasn’t been heard from since.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Ebony Nicole Varner, 39, was last seen at around 9:20 a.m. on June 3 in the vicinity of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Interstate 285, Fox Atlanta reports. She’s believed to be in danger, although the GBI has not specified what type of danger she could be facing.
“Ebony’s not the type of person to leave like that for so long,” her friend, Melissa Thomas, told 11 Alive.
According to Thomas, family members said that Ebony’s car was found, locked with her purse inside.
“That’s not really good – you know? Her purse or money or phone? Who leaves without their phone and their purse nowadays? That’s kind of something that you need so, it’s not really a good sign,” Thomas said.
Thomas added that Ebony, a mother of three children (two are grown) and a volunteer cook for the homeless, is a “fun” and “outspoken” person who would have never willingly left her family without telling them.
“I could see maybe a day or two, seeing that her children are grown, but… it’s a week almost, that’s a long time,” she said. “It’s very tough for them, for their family to go through this.”

Ebony is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. Clothing worn at the time of her disappearance is unknown.
