In Illinois, a search is underway for a mother and her young daughter, who went missing on Friday following a daycare pickup on the West Side of the city.
The Chicago Police Department reports that 26-year-old Heidy Garcia Soriano collected her daughter, Ashley Lobato, from daycare. The pair then vanished from the 1300 block of North Springfield Avenue in Humboldt Park, as reported by FOX 32.
Soriano’s car was discovered nearby soon after the disappearance, although details about the vehicle are not currently available.
The authorities have classified the mother and daughter as endangered and suspect they might still be somewhere in the vicinity.
Ashley is described as a Hispanic girl, approximately 3 feet tall and weighing around 35 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Her mother, Heidy, is a Hispanic woman, standing 5 feet, 7 inches inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds, also with black hair and brown eyes.Â
